Smoky Park Supper Club has always been a little different, in all the best ways. For starters, it's built from 19 shipping containers.

Smoky Park is making a change that once again sets it apart from other area restaurants. As of July, 2021, it's Asheville's first community-focused, membership-based restaurant and bar.

While membership-only bars aren't new to Asheville, Smoky Park is the first restaurant to make memberships available only to North Carolina residents. Membership, which costs $1, can be easily completed in a simple process at the restaurant.

Members are allowed to bring guests with them, so visiting family members and friends who live out of town will be welcome to dine at Smoky Park as long as they are accompanied by a member.

In addition to a desire to prioritize the local community and repeat guests, the restaurant's partners felt this change was necessary to provide the highest quality food and beverages and best possible experience for their guests, while also making the work sustainable for their staff.
